Licensing & Rights Overview
This page provides a general overview of how licensing, rights, and releases work at Aurora Pop Studio. Specific terms are always confirmed on a per-song or per-project basis.
Licensing vs Release
Aurora Pop Studio offers different collaboration models:
License-Only
-
Artist licenses a finished song for specific use
-
No ownership of songwriting or publishing
-
Usage terms defined by agreement
Artist Release
-
Artist releases the song under their own artist name
-
Artist earns streaming income
-
Songwriting and publishing rights remain with the creators
Co-Production / Shared Release
-
Aurora Pop Studio may act as co-producer or rights participant
-
Credits and participation are defined prior to release
Songwriting & Publishing (STIM / PRO)
All songs are registered with the appropriate performing rights organizations (such as STIM or equivalent PROs).
Publishing ownership remains with Aurora Pop Studio and its writers unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Exclusivity
Exclusivity applies to artist use and market availability, not ownership.
Some songs may be offered with exclusivity depending on the agreement.
AI-Assisted vs 100% Human Productions
-
Some catalog songs may use AI-assisted tools during early creative stages
-
All final productions are completed by human professionals
-
Fully human-created productions are available and may qualify for custom rights structures
AI-assisted catalog material is not offered for buyouts or publishing acquisitions.
Label & Publishing Suitability
-
AI-assisted catalog songs are not pitched for label buyouts
-
Fully human productions are suitable for label releases and publishing deals
Transparency
All rights, credits, licensing terms, and participation are clearly outlined before any agreement is made.
